BEWARE: http://interswitchng.t35.com fraudulent website

The following is the screenshot from my yahoo mail-box.

The scam URL in question is: https://webpay.interswitchng.com/webpay/Re-Confirm

is similar to the one in this post.

The difference is that the above new scam URL redirects to http://interswchng.t35.com/ and here is a screenshot:

interswitch_t35

This is a screenshot of the authentic interswitch website:

interswitch2

  • I’m trying to think up ways on how InterSwitch Nigeria can prevent its website from being almost duplicated.
  • I’m wondering if InterSwitch Nigeria is concerned about their customers getting misinformed by all these fraudulent websites popping up everywhere.

The above scammer is making use of http://www.t35.com/’s free webhosting service.

Beware people and have a weekend.

Robbers devise new ways to attack bank customers

Robbers devise new ways to attack bank customers
By Alex Olise

ARMED robbers have now devised new ways of attacking bank customers and making away with their money.

Unlike in the past when armed robbers were using guns and vehicles to raid banks, they now use motorcycles and the newly introduced helmets to trail bank customers after making large withdrawals.

The helmets, which were introduced across the country in January, are now being used by men of the underworld to disguise and wreak havoc on their victims.

With the helmet, it will be difficult for any one to identify the attacker even with the Close Circuit Television (CCTV) recently installed in some banks.

In the light of this development, top police officers have warned members of the public to be very cautious and always monitor any motorcycle that is parked on banks’ premises.

Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Marvel Akpoyibo, recently paraded some robbery suspects who used motorcycles to attack their victims and robbed them of their money.

Two months ago, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Apapa, Mr. Mohammed Ali, led a team of policemen from the division to foil robbery at two new generation banks in Apapa.

In one of the incidents, one of the robbers, who used a motorcycle, was arrested and his colleagues fled.

The arrested suspect led the police team to their hideout at Layeni, Ajegunle area of Lagos.

On arrival at the hideout, a member of the robbery gang who sighted the police, fired at them and the police fired back. After the gun duel, five members of the robbery gang were shot dead and assorted weapons, including AK-47 rifles, were recovered.

Also, the introduction of Automated Teller Machines (ATM) has provided another opportunity for robbers. Most robbers now attack those withdrawing money in areas where there is no police presence like eateries and shopping malls.

A top security operative who spoke with The Guardian, advised those who operate such businesses to ensure that there is always police presence to protect customers who can just come in to withdraw money from an ATM.

The need for adequate security in areas where there are ATMs became very necessary as young boys and girls who roam around could be armed robbers.

Recently, a lady was forced at gunpoint in one of the eateries to withdraw all the money in her current account.

The armed robbers had threatened to kill if she failed to continue withdrawing as she used her ATM card. The woman continued to withdraw with her card until the machine gave an instruction that “you can no longer withdraw”.

The robbers, who carried out that operation, collected all the money and left the place on their motorcycle with their heads and faces covered with helmets to avoid identification.

Cloned ATM card used to withdraw eighty five thousand Naira in Isolo

Posted by Admin on March 24, 2009

I mentioned it previously on this weblog that ATM Machines in Nigeria are not safe. In fact, I concluded that banking in Nigeria was a financial risk.

Anyway, heres the story of someone(newman) who lost NGN85,000.00 on an ATM machine.

@ SEUN & ALL NIRALANDERS!!! PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT THIS MY POST MAKES A TOPIC AND GETS WELL CIRCULATED ALL OVER NIGERIA!!!, I WOKE UP TODAY VOWING TO START A LOUD CAMPAIGN AGAINST THE LATEST ATM SCAM STRATEGY TO WHICH I RECENTLY FELL A VICTIM.

NOW HEAR MY STORY!!

Two weeks ago, I was ion my office by 6pm, when I started getting text messages of debit alerts from my account with a certain bank I will not mention for now, each of debits of N20,000!! By the time I rushed downstairs to my car to check my ATM card in the lock which I thought had been stolen, I was terribly shocked to find my card in tact inside the wallet!!!
As all this was happenning, more text messages were comming in untill a total of N85,000 had been withdrawn, of course because there was only (90k in the account.
It took me 30 mins to get to the nearest branch somewhere in Lekki, with my ATM card only to verify that someone had used a clonned ATM card at far away Isolo to swipe me of my hard earned money!!!

For 2 weeks now, the bank has been in an endless investigation, (some of whose effort I appreciate anyway) and I went to the Zenith bank used in Isolo and they refused to give me the pictures of the thief on the grounds that it was against their policy to reveal such facts to individuals, that my banks audit team would liase with theirs to get the details,

this is so saaaaaad!!!!! I cant even see who stole my money, whose picture iswith the bank,at least, I can publish that on the paper and track down the criminal.

NOW, ANYWAY, THIS IS A PICTURE OF ANOTHER ATM PROFESSIONAL FRAUDSTER IN CARD CLONNING THAT I WAS PRIVILEGED TO GET FROM A BANK!!!
Guys, recognise this man, spread this picture, track him down, let him die!!

Find attatchment.

NB: Pls anyone that has any useful information on how I can sucessfully get my money back from the bank should please give me a piece of his mind.
Thanks.
